October 12, 2013: Nationals 7 Cardinals 5 (NLCS tied, 1-1)

The Nationals never trailed in this one, although the Cardinals were a thorn in the side late with 3 runs in the 7th and 2 in the 8th. Adam Laroche had 3 RBI on 2 hits and a sac fly, and Ryan Zimmerman and Wilson Ramos each contributed solo homers. Stephen Strasburg gets the quality start and more importantly, the win.

In a close game it was the Washington Nationals 7, the St. Louis Cardinals 5
at Nationals Park.
 
Washington went ahead for good in the bottom of the 3rd inning scoring one
runner using 2 hits.  Washington totaled 10 hits on the night.  
 
Stephen Strasburg(1-0) got the win allowing 3 runs in 6 and 2/3 innings. Tyler
Clippard gained credit for his 1st save.  Joe Kelly(1-1) took the loss.  He
gave up 6 hits and 6 walks in 4 innings.
