fence in the 1st inning and cleared the fences for a two-run home run in the
5th inning. Texas finished with 18 hits while Boston ended up with 14.

Derek Holland(1-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 7 and 1/3 innings and
allowing 5 runs. Felix Doubront(3-1) suffered the loss. He was touched for
10 hits and 3 walks in 4 and 1/3 innings.

April 26, 2013: Red Sox 8 Astros 7

Despite coughing up four homers and blowing a save twice in this one, the Red Sox are happy to come away with the win against the last-place Astros. The Sox took a one run lead with 4 runs in the 7th, capped by a bases-clearing double from David Ortiz. The Astros got that run right back in the top of the 8th on a Matt Dominguez home run off Koji Uehara. No problem, the Sox scored 2 in the bottom of the 8th on 3 hits. But wait, Brandon Laird hit a 2-run shot off Andrew Bailey in the top of the 9th to tie it back up! The Sox loaded the bases in the bottom of the 9th on two singles and an intentional walk, but a passed ball by catcher Jason Castro was the Astros' downfall.
