Third baseman Adrian Beltre slammed 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI as the Texas
Rangers defeated the Boston Red Sox by the score of 13 to 7 at Rangers
Ballpark.

Beltre had a big evening at the plate. He popped a two-run clout over the
fence in the 1st inning and cleared the fences for a two-run home run in the
5th inning. Texas finished with 18 hits while Boston ended up with 14.

Derek Holland(1-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 7 and 1/3 innings and
allowing 5 runs. Felix Doubront(3-1) suffered the loss. He was touched for
10 hits and 3 walks in 4 and 1/3 innings.

With this win, Texas has a 17-12 record. They have been 5-5 lately. The loss
by Boston interrupted a nice 9-1 recent run.
